Kamiah and Kooskia are little towns in North Central Idaho. They are located in the Clearwater Valley. The South Fork of the Clearwater River runs into the Middle Fork at Kooskia, they continue down to Orofino were the North Fork comes in and on down to Lewiston to meet up with the Snake River. Lewis and Clark camped here in Kamiah for what they called long camp in 1806. There are several campsite of the Corps of Discovery in the mountains above here. We are on Highway 12 between Lewiston and Missoula Montana. This area has great hunting and fishing. The Steelhead and Salmon run in the rivers. The small mouth bass fishing in the river is great. Turkey, Deer, Elk, Bear, and Mountain Lion roam the hills. Its natural beauty is one of its many assets. You can click on the link below for more information about the towns and the area.
